THE DIFFERENCE OF DUAL CLUTCH AND SINGLE CLUTCH ENGINE
Source: | Author:pmo98bbec | Published time: 2022-09-24 | 831 Views | Share:

Our horizontal engine(auto clutch, from 50cc to 125cc,usually used for Cub models and EEC street models) is divided into two types: dual clutch and single clutch,in this article, let’s see its difference.

Dual clutch:

It consists of a primary centrifugal clutch and a secondary clutch. The primary clutch is connected to the crankshaft, and the secondary clutch is connected to the main shaft.

Advantages: The impact force of shifting is smaller than that of single clutch, which makes your riding experience much more smooth.

Disadvantages: Its structure is more complicated, and it’s more expensive than the single-clutch.

Single clutch:

Single clutch integrates the primary centrifugal clutch and secondary clutch together as a clutch assembly, and it directly connected to the crankshaft.

Advantages: its simple structure and low cost.

Disadvantages: larger shifting impact makes the riding experience not as smoothly as dual clutch, and the wear and tear of crankshaft and other components is larger than that of dual clutch.

These difference doesn’t mean the single clutch engine is bad, actually according to our export data in past years, the motorcycle with single clutch engines takes the 86% of total amount, because it works good and the cost is more acceptable by the market, the dual clutch engine is more likely a icing on the cake.
